Experience

I have been teaching a little over 10 years now. I started out as a teacher assistant in the Behavioral Unit. In 2009 I was presented with a great opportunity to come and be a part of the Taylor community and teach fifth grade. I now have worked at Taylor Elementary for 9 years. It seems that I have jumped all over the place in the past 9 years. I have had the opportunity to teach fifth, third and this will be my fourth year as a fourth grade teacher. I am also the yearbook sponsor and have held that position for the past 7 years.

Bio

Hi, my name is Alice Smith. I have been living in Cleveland for 22 years now. I am originally from Albany, Georgia. I am a devoted fan to the Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs)! I am a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church where I teach Sunday School to a wonderful group of young teenage girls. I am the oldest of three in my family. My sister is 8 years younger than me and is a lawyer in knoxville. My brother is 14 years younger than me and is a sophomore at Tech.

I love to read books and hang out with family and friends. I love to listen and sing to music. I get strange looks all the time driving down the road because I just can’t help myself and have to jam out to some tunes.

I might not be very athletic, but love to watch a good game every now and then. I am definitely a big fan of my brother who plays baseball for WVHS. I never was a cheerleader, but I have the lungs to yell and cheer!
